🌟 Core Value of the Month: Appreciation🌟
This November, we’re focusing on the importance of appreciation—an expression of admiration, approval, or gratitude. As we embrace this value, remember: Thanksgiving isn’t the only time we should express appreciation, gratitude, and thankfulness—it’s vital to show and practice thankfulness in our day-to-day lives.

We regret to inform you that tonight's SEPAC CommUNITY Meeting - November 6, 2024 has been POSTPONED. This is a result of water line damage affecting the location. SEPAC will keep us posted on a new date soon!
As the turn of the season brings colder weather, we want to remind you to review your notification settings and contact information in Skyward Family Access to ensure accurate contact information. Should you need to update your contact information, please contact your school office. In addition, review your early release plans with your family so everyone is aware of where students will be going in the event of an early release from school.
📢 Friendly Reminder:
East Porter schools will be eLearning for Election Day today, Tuesday, November 5. Exercise your right and make your voice heard. Don’t forget to vote!
We look forward to seeing our students back on Wednesday, November 6!
REMINDER: There will be a planned e-Learning Day for all East Porter students tomorrow, Tuesday, November 5, 2024. This is an Asynchronous e-Learning Day.
Students will be engaged in learning online through recorded, asynchronous lessons. Teachers will provide those by 9:00 am on November 5, 2024. Teachers will be available intermittently throughout the day to answer student questions. They will provide information on how to access the lessons and materials prior to the eLearning day.
eLearning expectations can be found at https://bit.ly/4grgrAQ.
The PCES Special Education Parent Advisory Council will host an informational session to help parents navigate the IEP process.
Navigating the Individualized Education Program (IEP) journey can be challenging. We will review the steps it takes to request an initial IEP evaluation.
Requesting an initial IEP evaluation is the very first step in determining whether your child is eligible for special education services.
Embarking on the IEP journey requires patience and advocacy, but understanding each step can make the process more manageable. You're not alone in this journey, and we are ready to support you along the way!
Please be reminded that daylight savings time ends this Sunday, November 3, 2024. Be sure to set your clocks to “fall back” one hour.
Halloween fun across East Porter today!
Be safe and have fun trick-or-treating tonight!
