WT STUDENT ATHLETIC ADVISORY COMMITTEE ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Congratulations to Brody Mears for being recognized by the WT Student Athletic Advisory Committee as Athlete of the Week for his efforts in track and field. Brody is an incredibly hard working and dedicated track athlete. Brody leads as Team Captain in both Varsity Cross Country and Track, for instance, leading stretches and encouraging his teammates. Even with an injury, Brody still gets new PRs all the time, especially in the mile, where he runs it in under 5 minutes. We can't imagine the track team without his awesome personality!

UPCOMING EVENTS FOR THE MONTH OF MAY AT WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP MIDDLE-HIGH SCHOOL

Sunday our students in grades 6-12 on the East Porter County Shotgun Team met at Oakwood to compete against other schools in the state. Our team consists of students from Kouts, Morgan, and Washington Township. These kids shoot at 50 clay targets to get the best score out of 50. Our First week of scores had the following results for top shooters:
Washington (6 kids total)
Top Shooter Male: Andrew Dykstra 44. He was also able to shoot a perfect score for one of his rounds. He got a 25 out of 25! This is a huge accomplishment. So if you see Andrew wearing his tattered hat this is because the tradition when someone shoots a perfect score is to shoot at the hat. Congratulations Andrew!!
