The boys 8th grade basketball team won on the road last night against conference opponent Hebron improving to 10-1 for the season. The entire team got into the action with Clayton Atchison leading all scoring with 16 and Gavin Lamere close behind with 15. Austin Schultz added impressive defense and some big rebounds while Kaleb Freyenberger earned the Cherokee Award. Kaleb showed up big and within seconds of getting into the game pulled down multiple key rebounds and played solid defense. Another road game for this team as they look forward to playing Try-Township next Tuesday.
The Morgan 7th grade boys had a big win in conference play on the road last night defeating Hebron 43-39. It was another great all around team win with big play and big moments from everyone. Trey Willingham led the team with 11, Jake Hines and Hudson Duttlinger both had season highs with 9 followed by Xavier Harrera, Logan Higgins, and Colin Augsburger all with 4 a piece. Vaun Bailey also scored 2 points with he and Wyatt Craigin coming up with some great defense and rebounding in big moments. They are now 3-2 in conference play and move to 6-5 on the season. Next game is Monday at home against VCA.
I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands one nation under God, indivisible with liberty and justice for all.
And now for a moment of silence
Thank you and It’s a great day to be a Cherokee!
