Your 8th grade boy’s basketball team won at home last night over conference opponent Boone Grove. Now 8-1, the Morgan team dominated on both sides of the floor with a potent offense and swarming defense. Leading the team in scoring with 17 points and earning his second Cherokee Award this season was Gavin Lamere followed closely by Clayton Atchison and Cade Lemmons. Austin Shultz, Rocko Bucher and Heath Rubarts also added to the win putting points on the board, playing solid defense and crashing the boards. The team is on the road tomorrow against Oregon Davis and again on the road Thursday against Hebron.

The Morgan 7th Grade boys lost a tough game to Boone Grove last night to move to 4-6 on the season and 2-2 in conference play.  It was a tough night of shooting as they struggled to get the shots to fall.  The defense was outstanding and gave them a shot in the game as they held Boone Grove to only 6 points in the 2nd half. They look to come back strong this Wednesday on the road against Oregon Davis.\

The 6th grade boys basketball team beat Tri-Township last night for a BIG WIN!!!

Ben led the team offensively with 12 points.  But the defense won this game!  Shane did a great job shutting down Tri-Township's leading scorer, Gabe stepped over and played awesome helpside defense and Parker grabbed some big rebounds.  While not everyone's name is listed here, it was truly a team effort.  You guys did great!  Next game is Wednesday at home at 4:30 vs. Westville, come out and cheer on your 6th grade Cherokees!
