Mrs. Casaday, our Middle school science teacher, has a knack for making excellent connections with kids! She focuses her classroom around hands-on opportunities that drive inquiry and student lead discussion. In a recent lab, students were to work together to determine the independent and dependent variables for a given scenario. Students were gathered in small groups after a brief overview of the concept. Students worked diligently, but what was most impressive was the collaboration! Over the year, Mrs. Casaday and her science crew will be seen up and moving around and working collectively to better understand the world around them and having fun doing it!
