Behind more stellar Defense, the Morgan Township lady Cherokees softball program clenched the sectional championship on Friday night, 1-0. The bats were alive the entire evening, but most of the balls that were out in play were hit directly at defensive players. The only run of the game was scored was early on, and it was a defensive battle the rest of the way. The lady Cherokees season will continue next week as they travel to Westville for the regional!
