Hoosier Crane has partnered with KMHS to offer 1-2 students a 2 year apprenticeship. During this time, students will learn safety procedures, how to work on electrical circuits, the specifics of fixing lifts for large companies and earn other certifications throughout the 2 years. At the end, they will be offered a position at Hoosier Crane, or they can leave. If they stay, they will have the opportunity to go out in the field in order to fix the lifts on site.
The students have to submit an application, resume, and go through an interview. Faith Hack was chosen to take part in the apprenticeship program next year.
This year was our first year with this program. Sam McBride and Dustin Pavlick were the first students to participate in this opportunity. Sam will continue for a 2nd year in the apprenticeship program, and Dustin is staying on and will be able to go out in the field next year.
